This painting was inspired by one coastal walk along Port Philip Bay.  Looking north from the Brighton pier, one can spot Melbourne's skyline emerging from the sea mist. The bold strokes of silver and gold paint add a shimmering quality to the sky and the sand on this bright, sunny day.
