"Keppel Falls" was painted plein air during an artist retreat in 2024. 
I took the reasonably sized canvas, and easel and paints 1km down the narrow path into the forest to paint the falls immersed with the light, sounds of water and mood.
 
It was damp and cold but the experience of painting there,  surrounded by the "untouched" nature, was almost ecstatic.
